# The Art of Liverpool

Kory W. Mathewson · 2013-05-03 · https://korymathewson.com/the-art-of-liverpool/ · Photos and reflections from the 2013 Liverpool Improvathon and exploring the vibrant arts scene of Liverpool, England.

I find [Liverpool](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool), a small city and [metropolitan borough](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_borough "Metropolitan borough") of [Merseyside](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merseyside "Merseyside"), England, United Kingdom along the eastern side of the [Mersey Estuary](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersey_Estuary "Mersey Estuary"), to be an incredible city. It is filled with such a vibrancy for arts and culture. I recently, Apr 2-8, had the opportunity to travel to Liverpool for the [Impropriety 2013 Improvathon: Goin' West](http://impropriety.wordpress.com/2013/04/19/1179/), the entirety of which was [liveblogged](http://thedrcaptain.com/goin-west-the-liverpool-2013-improvathon-liveblog/) by the hilarious Doctor Captain, and [illustrated and interpreted](https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151567582080513.1073741826.517320512&type=1) by the amazingly talented [Jazamin Sinclair](https://www.facebook.com/jazamin).

Thank you to all the amazing friends in Liverpool, and London, for your hospitality. I look forward to seeing you again soon, when you all come to Edmonton for the [Die Nasty Soapathon](http://www.casaannett.com/varsconatheatre/die-nasty/Die-Nasty_Web/Home.html)!
